Cornrows and Pigtails

SERVICES OFFERED

Below is a list of services I offer.  

• Wash and condition your hair / do not add any styling products
• Purchase extensions before your appointment - if applicable
• If you have straight hair please have at least 4 inches length of hair to work with.
• If possible please bring your own comb, brush, and styling gels and moisterizers. If unable to provide these items, there will be an extra $10.00 charge for supplying these items for you.
• If you are tender headed please let me know

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Little Girl Hair Maintenance:

I have notice that there are some moms that have African-American little girl and do not know what to do with the thick, very kinky and tightly curled hair. Unfortunately they do not have support of family members that share their knowledge for one or another.  This service is a short class on how to care for your African-American little girl's hair. I will show you how easy it is to maintain her unruly locks. This service also come with a starter kit with every thing you need to style your daughter's hair.

De-tangle / De-matting :

Sometimes when you don't know how to care for kinky, curly, and nappy hair you can end up with very tangled or matted hair. Some parents think it is best to just cut out the mats and get the hair chemically relaxed. This is great for a quick fix but the hair does continue to grow and the hair will continue to get tangled and matted. So learning how to prevent the hair from getting matted in the first place will allow the hair to grow long and healthy. I can comb out the mats and tangles without cutting them out. I will finish of the hair by putting them into pigtails.

Pig Tails :

This is another service for those who do not know how to style and manage African-Americam little girls' hair. I will style your little girls hair in the common pig tail styles depending on the thickness of her hair. Usually more than 3 pig tales are needed. The styles usually stays in place for a couple of days depending on the activity level of your child. I will show you how to maintain the hair inn between the washings. You might want to consider taking the class I offer. It will pay for itself in the long run.

Twists - Individuals

Hair is parted into small blocks in a brick wall pattern. Each block is rubber band into pigtails and twisted. This is usually a little girl style so colored rubber bands are used. Adults can request this style as well. Black rubber bands are used unless color is requested. 

This can also be done without rubber bands at the roots. However it is possible the style will not last as long.

Straight Back Cornrows

Cornrows start from the forehead back to the nape of the neck. This does include styles with bangs.

Straight Back Cornrows with extensions

Cornrows start from the forehead back to the nape of the neck. This does include styles with bangs. Extensions are added to provide thickness, length, and color.

Half Cornrows 

Cornrows start from the forehead back to the crown of the head.

Individual Braids Large / with extensions

2" to 3" square box braids with extensions. The length is at least 2 inches past the shoulders.

Individual Braids Mediun / with extensions

1" to 2" square box braids with extensions. The length is at least 2 inches past the shoulders or shorter.

Individual Braids Small / with extensions

.5" to 1" square box braids with extensions. The length is at least 2 inches past the shoulders or shorter.
